lyrics

I was a beggar blind beyond the gate. Abused and tattered, no second glance to take, no second chance could make this sinner into a saint.

The Lord made me well when He cast the Sun into a spell. The night fought in vain like the infirmity both were tamed. I forgot who made me well. I showed off my good gain, pushed my credit to my shame. And now I am the same; sick, deaf, dumb, and lame.

I was a madman but now I am a king. I spent all my fortunes pursuing a damned broke dream. But now I clearly see right in front of me. Every living thing has time to learn to sing a thankful melody.

Now I have a voice I will learn to sing with a heart that beats true, tuned to a new string
